About Us

Building a Community of Light

Who We Are

Sons of Light, Inc. (SŌL) is a Christ-centered, Spirit-led nonprofit focused on building a strong, supportive community for those impacted by incarceration, addiction, and brokenness.

Our story began when the founder, Jesse, received a powerful vision from God while incarcerated—a call to bring light into the darkest places and create a space of belonging for those the world often overlooks. From that vision, a community was born.

Today, SŌL is a growing network of people committed to walking in their new identity as Sons and Daughters of Light—supporting one another through faith, accountability, and love. We believe healing and transformation happen best in an authentic community.

Our Purpose

We’re not just a ministry—we’re a family.
We exist to:

  • Build real relationships rooted in grace and truth

  • Create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued

  • Support one another in spiritual, emotional, and physical growth

  • Replace isolation with connection, and despair with hope.

What We Do

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, SŌL provides community-based support through outreach, mentorship, and fellowship. We meet people where they are—offering hope and connection in prisons, treatment centers, transitional programs, and everyday life.

Our community gathers to:

  • Worship, pray, and grow spiritually

  • Serve families and neighborhoods with compassion

  • Encourage sobriety, healthy living, and strong relationships

  • Do life together—riding, fishing, sharing meals, and celebrating progress

Our Mission

We are focused on identity and community, helping people discover who they are in Christ and find a lasting sense of belonging in the body of believers. Our mission is to build up people and places where transformation is possible, and no one walks alone.
